The end of the summer is drawing near for students throughout Monroe, which means it’s almost time to head back to school. We know this can be a difficult transition for the kids, but it takes a heavy toll on parents’ schedules as well. To help everyone get their schedules all figured out, we’ve got all the important Monroe city back-to-school dates right here.

We’ve even added important holidays and teacher workdays that will be occurring throughout the 2019 – 2020 school year so you can easily plan any trips or events around your student’s schedule. This handy back-to-school schedule should help you easily transition into a successful school year.

This schedule reflects the 2019 – 2020 school year calendar for Monroe City Public Schools, but it is not completely exhaustive. If you’re unsure of any of the dates, check with your local school district to verify that you have the correct back-to-school dates for your area.

Private school students will need to check with their school’s website to find back-to-school dates for their particular school.

First Day of School: Friday, August 9, 2019

Fall Break: Tuesday, October 15, 2019 – Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Thanksgiving Break: Monday, November 25, 2019 – Friday, November 29, 2019

Christmas Break: Monday, December 23, 2019 – Monday, January 6, 2020

Spring Break: Monday, March 30, 2020 – Monday, April 6, 2020

Easter Break: Monday, April 13, 2020

Last Day of School: Thursday, May 21, 2020

Back to School Checklist for Monroe City Students:
